MATILDA'S STORY

Matilda is a delightful, chatty 4 year old girl from Surrey. She is active, sociable and loves spending time with her older brother and friends. She has cerebral palsy and can only walk independently indoors and short distances outdoors. Over long distances and uneven surfaces she uses a wheelchair.

Her mum contacted Action For Kids and asked to help fundraise for Matilda’s trike at the cost of £1,128. The trike would not only enable her to participate in an activity on a par with her peers and her family and provide her an enjoyable therapeutic play activity but also improve her muscle strength, her sitting balance and contribute to maintaining lower limb ranges of movement.

With funds raised by Path to Success, Action for Kids made is possible for Matilda’s trike was purchased and delivered in the middle of August and she was very happy with it and enjoys immensely.
